We offer a standard selection of controlled dimmable circuits. Ranging from 4 – 18 circuits.

If more than18 circuits are required two or more boards can be added together to create any sized system. Each board can be modified to create any number of outputs. From leading edge, trailing edge, 0-10v or Dali. We also offer relay switched circuits or blind control as a custom option. Built to order.

The modular design also makes maintenance easy. If a dimmer pack fails or any other component. Just unplug it and replace it with a new one. The programming is stored within the Local Control Unit. (LCU) No need to call out an engineer or re programme the system. Saving time and money.

The Black Edition system offers a range of standard configurations, including:

  • Output Options: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18 circuits of trailing-edge dimming.
  • Customizable Outputs: Outputs can be tailored to include a combination of relay, window treatment control, DALI, 0-10V, and PWM.
  • Dimming & Scene Setting: Full programmability for dimming, scene setting, and timed events.

Each trailing-edge dimmer pack provides two channels, with the following maximum outputs per channel:

  • LED: 250W per channel (two channels per pack) or 1 channel of LED: 400w
  • Relay Output: 8 channels of 6A on/off control.
  • Low level inputs

Each board can accept >8 Low level inputs. This can be used in conjunction with fire or burglar alarm systems. We also offer PIR or door contact inputs for use in energy saving mode.

Quick installation.

Each cabinet comes prewired. The installer only needs to connect mains power in, the lighting circuits out and the switch plate data cable. Each panel is supplied with a wiring diagram and clearly marked and numbered connectors. The high voltage (output) and low voltage (signal) are kept apart to avoid confusion.

Electrical Protection:

Standard equipment includes:

  • Hager main switch and B6 MCB protection.
  • RCBO protection available upon request.
  • Meanwell power supplies are standard, ensuring high-quality, reliable performance.

Maintenance & Warranty:

We offer a 3-year warranty on all Black Edition products. The system is built on modular components for easy maintenance, enabling you to replace faulty dimmer packs with minimal effort. Simply unplug the faulty unit, remove it from the DIN rail, and replace it—no programming or engineer visit is required. All programming is stored within the Local Control Unit (LCU).

Remote Access & Support:

For added convenience, we offer a remote contract option. Using a mini PC and VPN, we can securely access your system to troubleshoot and resolve issues remotely. A dashboard option is also available for larger projects across multiple locations, providing real-time system monitoring and energy tracking.

Switch Plate Options:

We offer standard UK 1G-sized switch plates with 1-4 buttons, each individually programmable to control specific functions. Engraving is available upon request. Multiple finishes are offered.

Custom matching can be arranged for specific requirements (minimum order: 6 switch plates, price upon application).

Each Local Control Unit (LCU) can support up to 16 switch plates, with wiring recommended using Beldon cable 8723LSF. Maximum cable length should not exceed 75 meters.

Training & Approved Installers:

To become an approved installer, please contact us. We offer free training and provide all necessary software to ensure seamless installation and setup of the Black Edition system.

5. Quick installation

7. Easy maintenance

Should anything go wrong. All components are Din rail mounted and plug and play. Just switch off the main switch, Unplug and remove the unit from the Din rail, Replace and switch the main switch back on. The LCU will provide the new unit the programming required. Quick, easy and simple.   

 

8. Easy programming

  Scene setting, timed events, energy saving, room dividing and master all on/off are easily programmable. 

 

9. Remote access

  If required, we can also offer remote access to the system via a VPN and internet connection.

 

10. Approved installers

  If you are interested in becoming an approved installer, we will train and equip you without cost.   

 

11. Wall mounted switch-plates

We have a range of standard colour finishes to chose from. We can even custom match the finish to your existing sockets if required. 

Each button can be programmed to match your requirements. 

A maximum of 16 switch plates per LCU. 

Standard Beldon 8723LSF cable is required to connect the switch plates to the LCU. 

 

12. Low level inputs

Each board has the ability to accept > 8 Low level inputs. This can be used in conjunction with fire or burglar alarm systems.

As well as the standard trailing edge dimmers, we also offer the options for other protocols to be used, these include; Leading edge, 0-10v, 1-10v, Dali, Dali DT6 / DT8.
